Healthy Children Pediatric Medicine serve children and adolescents from days old to 21 years old. We are looking for a bilingual certified medical assist that can be an asset to our team.
Available to start immediately.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Participates in daily care team huddle to perform pre-visit planning to identify lab work needed for care services based on patient diagnosis and preventative care screenings are due.
- Prepares patients for examination and treatment, including taking histories and vital signs. Assist completing Health examination forms.
- Conducts comprehensive, preventative screenings for patients and/or assists all support staff in daily patient interactions as needed.
- Performs screening procedures as indicated.
- Follows standing order procedures as indicated by practice.
- Prepares exam and treatment rooms with necessary supplies and equipment for treatments.
- Performs a variety of routine blood drawing procedures to include venipuncture, techniques using standard equipment to include vacutainer tubes and sleeves, tourniquets, syringes and butterfly needles
- Assists the Physician during patient examinations.
- Perform other related duties as assigned ex. Register patient, verify insurance, schedule appointments, book referrals
QUALIFICATIONS:
- High School Diploma or General Equivalency Diploma.
- Minimum two (2) years of Medical Assistance experience required.
- Outstanding Customer Service skills to guarantee quality patient care and patient satisfaction
- Ability to work collaboratively with others
- Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills required
- Ability to navigate through computer software's by use of a mouse, keyboard or stylus and windows based software (Word, Excel).
- Requires knowledge of general safety standards to limit exposure to infectious disease
- Must have a friendly and professional phone etiquette
- Experience using Eclinical Works (Electronic Medical Record) Prefer
- Must speak Spanish
