Salary Bases on Experience
An extremely organized problem solver with outstanding follow-through, the Legal Assistant or Case Manager will be a key player at Galindo Law Firm as they are responsible for helping to manage hurricane claims, as well as other related legal duties to help the attorneys and firm run efficiently. This exciting role will be responsible for reviewing documents, drafting correspondence and pleadings, and managing the litigation docket as assigned by the Attorney. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organizational skills and experience with a high-volume litigation practice, is proficient in Microsoft Office, be customer service focused, detail-oriented and a proactive team player with excellent communication skills.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Intake & Case Management Hurricane claims
- Draft correspondence, pleadings and mediation packets, analyzing and summarizing documents
- Manage and calendaring the federal and state docket for filed lawsuits
- Prepare discovery requests and responses, deposition notices, utilize document management and client management software systems
- Evaluate team progress and ensure that project assignments are realistic and achievable
- Effectively communicate and identify delays, and problem solve when issues arise
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of experience
- Experience with electronic filing and procedural practices in federal state court
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Strong communication skills, self-motivation, and ability to multitask
- Ability to adapt to a fast-paced, constantly evolving business and work environment while managing multiple priorities
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on details while keeping the big picture in mind
- Ability to maintain effectiveness, professionalism, and diplomacy when experiencing change in work tasks and/or the work environment
