Responsibilities
- Prepare and file federal, state, and local tax returns accurately and in a timely manner.
- Ensure compliance with all applicable tax laws and regulations.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements, ensuring accuracy and adherence to accounting standards.
- Provide support in developing tax-efficient strategies to minimize the company's tax liabilities.
- Work closely with management to assess the tax implications of business decisions and propose tax-efficient alternatives.
- Ensure that all tax-related documentation is organized and readily available for review.
- Monitor and review transactions to ensure adherence to internal policies and procedures as well as external regulatory requirements.
- Implement and maintain effective internal controls related to tax matters.
- Conduct research on tax issues, interpret relevant laws, and provide recommendations.
- Analyze financial data and trends to identify opportunities for tax savings.
- Collaborate with finance, legal, and other departments to provide guidance on tax-related matters.
- Work with external consultants or tax advisors as needed.
Qualifications and Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or related field.
- CPA or EA required.
- Proven experience as a Tax Accountant or similar role.In-depth knowledge of tax laws, regulations, and compliance requirements.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities.
- Proficient in QuickBooks and Microsoft Excel.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to explain complex tax matters to non-experts. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Ability to quickly learn industry-related regulations quickly and utilize information in written report.
- Must be able to pass a nationwide background check / drug screen.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $90,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year
