Project Coordinator for trade show-Install & Dismantle
Southwest Scenic Group has an immediate opening for a Project Coordinator for Trade show Carpentry and to join our exhibit I&D (install and dismantle) team. The person must be client focused and able to work well individually or as part of a team to successfully complete the on-site set up requirements of each assigned event. The ability to work efficiently to meet project standards and deadlines is a must. The position will require you to travel locally and nationwide during peak event seasons.
Job:
· Install and dismantle theatrical scenery, large modular screens, custom exhibits and props at convention centers and venues throughout the US.
· Assist with management and quality control (QC) of finished products through the scene shop.
· Responsible for staging and truck loading of all assigned jobs.
· Use of manual and power tools to install and maintain all staging and scenery on location.
· Work on ladders and use of a scissor lift on location.
· Use internal computer systems to receive and complete tasks and communicate with coworkers.
· Other warehouse duties as assigned: QC Inspection, pickup/delivery, housekeeping.
· Proficiency in general construction and theatrical/event construction techniques.
· Proficiency in the use of all hand and power tools.
· 3 years’ experience in the events/exhibit set up industry.
· Assemble components of exhibit based on specs and set up instructions.
· Efficiently communicate with all departments to facilitate the exchange of information and execution of responsibilities.
· Package components for transportation to avoid damage in transit.
· Complete quality control checks on event pack list prep and staging.
· Work overtime as needed to meet production deadlines.
· Flexibility to work varied schedules including nights and weekends.
· Must be an organized team player and display teamwork and professionalism.
· Must be able to lift up to 75lbs.
· Valid driver’s license.

Experience:
- Skilled Carpentry/Cabinet Making: 3 years (Required)
Ability to Relocate:
- Tempe, AZ: Relocate before starting work (Required)
