Job Description
- Shift Supervisors will report to the plant manager as required
- Supervise department personnel daily
- Establish goals and performance standards for employees in order to create a skilled workforce capable of achieving company goals
- Develop a strategic direction for the shift and employees
- Support and encourage shift personnel to advance their professional goals
- Must be in touch with all areas of operation daily and be able to respond to different situations accordingly
- Create a healthy environment by promoting attitudes of teamwork, pride, quality, and responsibility among associates
Availability
- Must be available to work scheduled shift Monday-Friday
- Must be available to work scheduled shift on Saturdays occasionally
Performance
Shift Supervisors should…
- Be able to provide reports detailing the progress of operations daily, weekly, and monthly
- Maintain accurate and organized records pertaining to all shift operations: production, safety, inventory, and quality
Requirements
- Obtained High School Diploma or GED
- Able to problem-solve and provide solutions
- Enforce Company Policies and Safety Regulations fairly and firmly to all employees.
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Communicate clearly with others
- Create a team approach with production employees
- Prior manufacturing experience preferred
