The Housing Opportunities Commission of Montgomery County is seeking a detail-oriented Payroll Specialist with ADP experience to join our team for a contract opportunity. As a Payroll Specialist, you will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely processing of payroll for our employees. This is a critical role within our organization, as you will play a key part in maintaining employee satisfaction by ensuring accurate and timely payment of wages.
Responsibility:
- Process payroll for all employees, including calculating wages, deductions, and overtime
- Ensure accurate and timely payment of wages through direct deposit or check issuance
- Maintain employee payroll records and ensure data integrity
- Prepare and distribute payroll reports to management
- Reconcile payroll discrepancies and resolve any issues or errors
- Collaborate with HR department to ensure accurate employee information is maintained in the payroll system
- Prepare and submit payroll tax filings in compliance with federal, state, and local regulations
- Stay up-to-date with payroll laws and regulations to ensure compliance
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role
- Strong knowledge of payroll processes, procedures, and regulations
- Proficient in using payroll software such as ADP
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with professionalism and integrity
- Knowledge of general ledger accounting principles and account reconciliation
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
