Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse specializing in Infusion to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings and possess a strong skill set in patient assessment and IV infusion techniques.
Responsibilities:
- Start IV catheter peripherally with ultrasound assistance available
- Ability to assess if patient is a candidate for PICC line placement and place PICC line in office
- Perform diagnostic evaluations and assessments on patients requiring infusion therapy
- Administer IV infusions following established protocols and guidelines
- Monitor patients during infusion therapy for any adverse reactions or side effects
- Collaborate with physicians to develop and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Educate patients and their families on infusion procedures, medications, and potential side effects
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation of care provided
Skills:
- Proficiency in medical terminology and patient assessment techniques
- Experience working with patients across different age groups, including children and individuals with developmental disabilities
- Knowledge of internal medicine, hospice palliative care, and behavioral health practices
- Competence in carrying out potential anaphylaxis protocols
- Strong understanding of IV infusion procedures and techniques
- Vascular Access trained nurses are preferred, but not required
