Job Description:
Overview: Cartwright Home Health is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Registered Nurse (RN) to join our home health team. As an RN, you will play a pivotal role in providing high-quality healthcare services to patients in and around Houston, Texas. This position offers competitive pay, requires candidates to have an active Texas RN license, access to a reliable vehicle, and the willingness to conduct in-house visits on an on-call basis.
Responsibilities:
- Patient Monitoring: Monitor the condition of patients, assess their needs, and provide the best possible care and advice.
- Symptom Observation: Observe and interpret patient symptoms, promptly communicating them to physicians for assessment.
- Care Planning: Collaborate with physicians and nurses to develop individualized care plans for patients.
- Procedures and Documentation: Perform routine procedures, administer medication, and maintain accurate patient records.
- Facility Hygiene and Safety: Ensure excellent hygiene and safety within patient homes, including decontaminating equipment and sanitizing surfaces.
- Emergency Care: Provide immediate medical care in emergencies and assist surgeons during operations.
- Supervision and Training: Supervise and train LPNs and nursing assistants to ensure high-quality care.
- Compassionate Environment: Foster a supportive and compassionate environment for patients and their families.
- Continuing Education: Expand knowledge and capabilities by attending educational workshops, conferences, and other relevant events.
Skills:
- Proven experience as a registered nurse.
- Excellent knowledge of nursing care methods and procedures.
- Proficiency in emergency care.
- In-depth knowledge of health and safety guidelines and procedures (sanitation, decontamination, etc.) with a commitment to adherence.
- Strong teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Responsible, compassionate, and patient with excellent problem-solving abilities.
- Outstanding organizational and multitasking skills.
- BSc or other diploma from a nursing program.
- Valid nursing license in the state of Texas.
