Overview
City of Boston Credit Union is seeking an experienced branch manager to lead our South Boston location. In this position, you will build member relations by providing exceptional service, exceeding expectations, and anticipating needs of credit union members.
Duties and Responsibilities
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Daily opening and closing of the branch
- Supervise all personnel within the branch
- Manage the security and safety of the branch; analyze and monitor security and safety policies and procedures on an on-going basis;
- Apply and evaluate policies and procedures for the branch; ensure that the branch is in compliance with federal and state laws and regulations as set forth by regulatory agencies; both deposit and loan regulations.
- Assists in the cash, lending & member service departments, as necessary;
- Ensures that new employees are thoroughly trained in all phases of their specific job duties
- Create an environment that encourages team members to provide an exceptional member experience and a dynamic and engaging culture
- Coach and mentor team members to develop and enhance their sales and service skills in order to provide the best member experience and to promote individual growth and development.

- Experience creating and maintaining a strong risk and control environment with demonstrated commitment to operational integrity and policies
- Promote teamwork to encourage employee engagement and empower team members with the necessary means to provide outstanding service to our members.
- Demonstrate outstanding communication skills when providing professional responses to complex and/or sensitive service issues. Think creatively and use sound judgment when investigating and resolving service matters.
- Provide direction on all operational aspects of the branch, including audit procedures.
- Provide visible leadership; network with businesses and community organizations to insure the continued growth and presence of City of Boston Credit Union
- Expand and grow strong relationships among peers and other departments; encourage open communication and collaboration.
Position Requirements
- High school education (or equivalent) plus significant specialized training on products, software systems, regulations and operations
- Five (5) years of experience in a retail banking leadership role.
- The position requires an in-depth knowledge of retail policies and procedures to utilize good judgment in making sound decisions, usually acquired with at least five years of retail banking management experience.
- Ability to deal with complex problems involving multiple facets and variables in non-standardized situations. Proven critical thinking and strategic planning skills.
- Proficient in using Microsoft Office applications including Outlook, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint and adequate understanding of accounting principles.
- Excellent organizational and time management skills, with the ability to provide leadership, supervision, and training to employees using positive supervisory techniques to ensure maximum productivity; demonstrated ability in organization and delegation skills.
- Exceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to apply common sense to carry out instructions and instruct others, train personnel, and write reports, correspondence, and procedures.
- Notary Public, NMLS required

Pay: $65,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
