Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Performing tests both in the field and laboratory for concrete, hot mix, soils and aggregates
Minimum Requirements:
- 0-5 years experience working in the construction industry
- Experience reading and comprehending plans, specifications and test procedures
- Working knowledge of concrete, soils, base and asphalt pavements
- Highway or building construction experience and a proven history of working well with contractors and owners to accomplish construction tasks is preferred
- Must have a valid driver’s license
Technical Requirements:
- Preferred experience using Microsoft Word and Excel spreadsheets
- Must have or be able to quickly obtain certification in Concrete, Hot Mix, Soils and Base testing
Other miscellaneous qualities:
- Ability to travel up to 20% of the time
- Must be willing to work either day or night shifts
- Must be willing to transition from field testing and inspection duties to laboratory testing responsibilities as needed
- Must be willing to work “off hours” when needed and up to 60 hours per week as needed
