Position: Bookstore Operations Leader
Reports to: General Manager

Joseph-Beth is looking for a Operations Leader who is Guest focused, builds relationships, is authentic, and delivers results while being an innovative thinker. As an Ops Leader you need to develop a strong Guest focus, managing workflow and allocating resources, in order to effectively manage the rapid flow of inventory to and from the store.
Job responsibilities:
- Ensure execution of inventory processing standards including receiving, special orders, corporate orders and paperwork, lay downs, periodicals, stockroom organization, and sorting and shelving of product.
- Inventory management and controls – Managing the rapid movement of inventory as it flows through to the store and onto the floor, ensuring that accuracy occurs with receivables both physically and systematically
- Ordering of consumable product and ensuring stock outs of product categories and being managed
- Fill-in and keeping the snack shop filled is high priority.
- Accountable for weekly price adjustment reports.
- Cleanliness / Organize floor workflow by managing and assigning tasks
- Provide information and communicate effectively
- Product knowledge training and awareness
- Overall floor execution.
- Model a positive Guest experience spirit, and provide superior service techniques to staff in order to provide an engaging Guest experience.
- Clear and concise communication within the team and to the service center regarding the management of all facilities, product needs and operations.
Qualifications:
- 5 years applicable retail operations and Guest experience work - hospitality retail background a plus
- Possess strong numeric reasoning skills
- Strong Computer knowledge and experience using a MS Windows environment
- Strong interest and desire to work with people
- Self Directed and Results oriented
- Good organizational and time-management skills
- Strong communications skills, both writing and verbally
- Effective oral and written communication skills / Good leadership skills
- To be self-motivated, self directed, but able to work as part of a team
- Good business sense / A positive attitude
- Strong knowledge of store products
- Good negotiation skills and persuasiveness
- Ability to motivate
- Trustworthiness and discretion when handling confidential information
- A smart appearance and professional manner
