Position Responsibilities
A successful technician will be a highly motivated person who embodies The Honest Stand core values and can perform responsibilities in both preventative and corrective maintenance capacities for production machinery and facility. This person must be self-motivated, hard-working and able to help keep the manufacturing operation running safely and efficiently.
- Complete all required documentation and scheduled maintenance activities including routine maintenance work
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment issues as they occur during production activities (may include on-call duties or remote troubleshooting), as assigned
- Operate and inspect machines and equipment to diagnose defects and improve efficiency (OEE)
- Diagnose, adjust, repair, and overhaul equipment including dismantle and reassemble using power and hand tools
- Evaluate and repair/replace damaged or worn parts
- Maintain communication with other departments, management and employees and notify them of any problems and/or concerns that may affect production
- Help create, modify and teach SOPs and PMs to Operations team
- Utilizing continuous improvement mindset, assist in identifying opportunities to improve processes
- Reads and understands operating manuals, blueprints, and technical drawings
- Acts as a back up operator in the event no other trained operations personnel are available
- Manage multiple priorities simultaneously, effectively and efficiently
- Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)
- Maintain a safe, clean, and sanitary work area
- Follow all required work safe practices
- Participate in company safety and production meetings
- Physical Demands and Work Environment:
- While performing duties of this job, the employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 points and climb ladders and equipment. This job requires physical agility and stamina. Employee may be required to stand for the majority of their shift.
- While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in a production environment which can be wet. The noise level is usually moderate. Exposed or hot or cold temperatures while working in the production areas and moving through freezers and refrigerated storage.

- Equipment maintenance experience with expert knowledge in at least one technical discipline (mechanical, electrical, control systems)
- Critical thinking / root cause analysis
- Training in a vocational school and/or related manufacturing experience
- Working knowledge of GMP, HACCP, OSHA, FDA and other regulatory and safety requirements
