GENERAL POSITION OVERVIEW
Answer general emails and/or phone calls from KOA customers regarding import shipments. Assist with general problem-resolution issues at terminals and rail ramps. Connect customers with appropriate internal parties if the scope of discussion requires specific expertise. Utilize multiple systems to address responses to issues/inquiries from customers. Create various reports/scorecards for both internal and external customers. Analyze various data and filter specific information to effectively communicate the issues. Work cohesively with other internal teams as need to service the efficient and effective delivery of cargo to HMM customers.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS/DUTIES
- Expediently answer KOA/VIP Customer calls/emails.
- Create/Generate reports.
- Arrange KOA meetings and port tours.
- Assist KOA customers in obtaining PODs.
- Monitor KOA/VIP loads to minimize delays and expedite hot deliveries.
- Monitor over Stowage, Terminal, Chassis, Truck, Rail, Weather.
- Discharge report, local/inland Dispatch, On Time connection as per A/C requests. (Plan/Result).
- Immediate and direct report to management for urgent cases of requiring decision making.
- Quick action on service failures and timely report to KOA.
- Quick follow up of HQ/Origin requests.
- Compliant release of FTZ bound cargo.
- Monitoring and management of VIP Reefer and Live Fish cargo.
- Notification of Special Free Time to Discharging Port.
- Complete diversion requests for KOA Customers.
- Resolve cases of container damage.
- Source Vendors to dray/rework/transload damaged containers for delivery.
- Authorize repairs with M&R and Management.
- Trace and rebill damage accordingly.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATIONSESSENTIAL SKILLS, KNOWLEDGE, AND ABILITIES
- General understanding of the transportation shipping industry.
- Work effectively under limited supervision and prioritize workload.
- Have exceptional computer skills and knowledge of MS Office programs such as Outlook, Word and Excel.
- Able to multitask and handle information accurately and professionally.
- Excellent phone/email etiquette.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Able to effectively communicate shipping terms and issues in English (required) and Korean (preferred).
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE
- High School diploma or GED required; college degree preferred but not required.
- Prior industry experience preferred but not required.

Pay: $19.34 - $21.00 per hour
