Job Overview:
We are looking for a talented CNC Programmer who is experienced in programming and operating 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of CNC programming languages, CAD/CAM software, and machining processes. They will be responsible for translating engineering designs into machine instructions to produce high-quality components with precision and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop CNC programs using CAM software such as Mastercam, hyperMill, SolidWorks, or similar programs.
- Analyze engineering drawings, models, and specifications to determine the most efficient machining processes.
- Optimize tool paths and cutting parameters to maximize machine efficiency and minimize production time.
- Set up and operate CNC machines to verify the accuracy of programs and make necessary adjustments.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot issues and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Perform regular maintenance on CNC machines and tools to ensure optimal performance.
- Document all programming and machining processes for future reference and continuous improvement.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and best practices to maintain a safe working environment.
- Stay updated on industry trends and advancements in CNC technology to enhance skills and knowledge.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s degree in in a Technology Field or equivalent experience preferred.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in CNC programming and machining operations.
- Proficiency in CAM software such as Mastercam, hyperMill, SolidWorks, or similar programs.
- Strong understanding of CNC programming languages (G-code, M-code) and machining principles.
- Experience with 3, 4, and 5 axis CNC machines and multi-axis machining techniques.
- Ability to verify CNC programs using verification software such as Vericut.
- Experience machining a variety of metals such as: Aluminum, Titanium, Stainless, Inconel.
- Understanding of aerospace manufacturing processes and specifications.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.
This position requires use of information or access to production processes subject to national security controls under U.S. export control laws and regulations (including, but not limited to the International Traffic in Arms Regulations (ITAR) and the Export Administration Regulations (EAR)).
