Comfort Keepers is here to help seniors thrive safely while living independently at home. We are looking for a PRN Home Health nurse to help with at-home skilled nursing care. As a company, we cater primarily to veterans and private pay clients. Services provided by the RN include wound care, medication administration, PICC line care, catheter changes, medication management, RN assessments, etc.
Description: Under the general supervision of the DON, the Home Health registered nurse delivers care to clients utilizing the nursing process of assessment, planning, intervention, implementation, and evaluation. The RN effectively interacts and provides information on health maintenance and disease prevention, and provides case management with clients, significant others, and other health team members while maintaining standards of professional nursing.
Minimum Qualifications:
Graduate of an accredited school of Nursing.
Current, unencumbered state license to practice as a Registered Nurse (RN).
Current BLS certification.
Minimum of at least one (1) year of hospital RN experience in the past five (5) years. Home care experience preferred but not required.
Proficiency in head to toe RN assessment, evaluating patient needs, care coordination, and foundational nursing skills.
Reliable transportation.
PRN RN Job Requirements:
-Ability to communicate with clients and other medical professionals in a friendly, professional, and respectful manner
-Flexibility, adaptability, and reliability
-Availability for at least 3 days of the week
-Possess reliable transportation and the ability to be on time to assigned shifts (Driver's License and auto insurance is required)
-Complete a criminal and motor vehicle background check and drug test
RN Job Duties:
- initial evaluation visits for clients
- regular reevaluation of the client's needs
-performing basic nursing skills with proficiency (such as medication administration, wound care, catheter changes, central line dressing changes, ostomy care, etc.)
- preparing clinical notes and documentation, coordinating services, and informing the physician and other personnel of changes in the consumer's condition and needs,
- client and family education
Working Conditions: Automobile travel to client's homes (mileage reimbursement), initial training at the main location in Denver, occasional in-office visits for meetings at the Colorado Springs location
We are looking for nurses located in the Colorado Springs and surrounding area.
Pay: $100.00 - $125.00 per hour
Expected hours: 4 – 6 per week
