Property Engineering Supervisor
Must have open availability - Days, Evenings, Weekends & Holidays.
- Property Engineering Supervisors work under the direction of the Chief Engineer to keep the physical property maintained and attractive with regular upkeep while overseeing the physical security of the property. An important part of the Engineering Supervisor role is meeting needs for maintenance in guest areas, while providing excellent guest service recovery when guests are affected by necessary maintenance.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Supervise and perform Property Maintenance Engineer duties to maintain the functionality and safety of the facility, including, but not limited to, physical buildings, mechanical equipment, electrical systems, heating and cooling systems, and grounds according to federal, state and local regulations.
- Respond to guest and team member inquiries, requests, and concerns in a timely, friendly, and efficient manner.
- Respond to emergency situations according to standards and guidelines.
- Assist in monitoring and developing team member performance to include, but not limited to, providing supervision, scheduling, assisting with evaluations, training, and delivering recognition and reward.
- Coordinate maintenance operations, as needed.
- Verify completion of all routine maintenance on public spaces, meeting rooms, ballrooms, outlets, back of the house spaces, and grounds. Verify completion of all repairs, replacement, and renovation projects to offices and employee work areas.
- Assist in hiring, training, supervising, and disciplining department staff and all other staff under direction of the Chief Engineer such as painters, maintenance engineers, and landscapers.
- Ensure all projects are completed on time and according to specifications.
- Work closely with other departments to ensure coordination of activities.

- Familiar with usage of checklists and computer-based programs to track work order assignment and completion.

- Ability to effectively deal with internal and external customers and team members, some of whom will require high levels of patience, tact, and diplomacy to defuse anger and collect accurate information.
- Strive to build and maintain good and productive relationships with all team members across departments.
EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS
- Minimum of two years’ experience in building maintenance
- Previous HVAC, Electrical, & Plumbing experience required.
- One year of previous supervisory experience required.
- Computer skills required.
- Hotel/Resort experience preferred.
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including shifts longer than 8 hours.
- Must be able to communicate clearly.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
This position requires physical stamina. To fully perform his/her duties, Maintenance Engineers will be required to lift, carry, walk, sit, bend, push, and pull. Must be able to stand and walk for long periods of time throughout property. Must be able to lift and/or carry items weighing up to 50 pounds on a regular basis.
