Overview:
We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Medical Assistant to join our healthcare team. Duties:
- Perform administrative tasks such as scheduling appointments, managing patient records, and handling billing and coding procedures.
- Prepare patients for examinations by taking vital signs, documenting medical history, and assisting with medical procedures.
- Administer medications and injections as directed by healthcare providers.
- Assist with patient education by explaining treatment procedures, medications, and follow-up care instructions.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of examination rooms and equipment.
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to ensure seamless patient care delivery.
- Adhere to infection control protocols and maintain a safe environment for patients and staff.
- Provide exceptional customer service to patients by addressing their concerns and ensuring their comfort.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program preferred.
- Current certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA) or Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of anatomy, physiology, and medical terminology.
- Proficiency in medication administration and basic life support techniques.
- Experience in taking accurate vital signs and documenting patient information.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to effectively interact with patients, healthcare providers, and other staff members.
- Ability to multitask, prioritize tasks, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
- Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems is a plus.
- Previous experience working in a hospital or clinic setting is preferred.
