Position: Technical Product Manager
Department: Information Technology
Reports To: Manager of Product Management
FLSA: Exempt
Summary
The technical product manager is focused on the member’s journey as they open accounts and utilize Keesler Federal products and services. He/she has a deep understanding of various Keesler Federal products and compares them to capabilities of vendor partners to provide an optimal member experience and align needed enhancements for internal and external development. The technical product manager is an essential subject matter expert on his/her technical platform/service that translates its capabilities to various internal lines of business who depend on its support of member facing products. The technical product manager works closely across the organization to represent the product and collect needed feedback.

Essential Functions
Measure Product Health- Establish metrics and reporting to understand product health with the key factors being operational performance, product profitability, and member satisfaction (micro and macro level).
Optimize Competitive Position- Analyze competitive data from multiple sources to determine what if any market gaps exist between Keesler Federal’s offering and best in class competitors.
Manage Vendor Relationships- Cultivate close working relationships with existing vendor partners. Work with each to build prioritized road maps and deliver timely enhancements to maintain competitive advantage. Continuously analyze potential partners and perform Request for Proposals when needed to insure that vendor relations are performing at optimum performance.
Act as Internal Product Ambassador- Set up internal channels to frequently communicate the current status of the product and share upcoming enhancements. Seek out internal feedback so that continuous improvement for both end user experience and back office efficiency. Prepare executive level updates and budget projections as needed.

Education
- Equivalent to a college degree (BS or BA in a relevant field)
Experience and Other Requirements
- One to three years of similar or related experience in a product manager or technical product owner role
- Experience with core and digital product lines utilized within a credit union or another financial institution (e.g., Symitar, Synergy, online banking)
- Extensive domain knowledge and subject matter expertise in a credit union or another financial institution and related products
- Experience in or knowledge of agile development and the Scrum framework
- Experience in business analysis and translating business requirements to technical specifications
- Willingness to acquire additional system/technical product knowledge as needed
- Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication/influence skills required, including reports, presentations, and group facilitation skills
- General knowledge of the software development and product release cycle
- Proven ability to influence cross-functional teams without formal authority. The ability to influence and work collaboratively with development teams is especially important
- Thorough familiarity with problem analysis and excellent level of problem solving capabilities to establish adequate solutions to operating problems
- Experience in Jira, Sciforma, Trello, or similar project management tools
- Experience with MS PowerPoint, Excel, and Word and ability to
- Must be highly organized and capable of handling multiple tasks concurrently. Must be able to redirect priorities based upon current workload (ability to react to current situations)
- Demonstrate teamwork in all interactions with coworkers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities
- Ability to develop partnerships and collaborate with other business and functional areas
- Demonstrate conceptual thinking and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be able to perform all functions independently with minimal supervision in a reasonable amount of time
- Stay current with emerging technology trends
