Position Summary:
The Warehouse Assistant is responsible for unloading trucks, loading/packing trailer(s) for shipping, as well as moving product in the warehouse as needed. This position requires driving experience, as they will be responsible for repositioning trucks in the parking lot for easier access of product, although a DOT card is not needed as this position will not drive trucks on the road. This position typically works from 5:30 a.m. to 8:30 a.m.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Maintain accurate load logs of how many carts were taken off trucks or loaded onto the trailer.
· Sort all donations received to maximize cloth delivery volume to Savers and trailers. Repack and stack bags and boxes of donated materials to maintain a neat, clean appearance of the warehouse.
· Perform general housekeeping duties to maintain the Donation Center operation and appearance in good order.
. Communicate any pertinent information about the warehouse to the Donation Logistics Manager in a timely fashion, including when the trailer needs to be swapped.
· Assist driver in loading donations on the truck as needed for delivery to Savers; or load donations into the trailer. Follow driver guidance on the loading process.
· Go through all miscel and salvage as much as possible.
· Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
Education and Experience:
1 year of work experience in a warehouse setting preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies:
· Good interpersonal and communication skills
· Well organized
· Work well independently, without close supervision
· Dependable—reports to shift on time and performs job duties as assigned
· Good sense and sound judgment on general matters
· Basic handyperson skills
