Job Summary:
The Talent Acquisition and Development Specialist will assist with the daily functions of the Human Resources Department including recruiting, training, benefits administration and administering human resources policies and practices.

- Recruits, interviews, and facilitates the hiring of qualified job applicants for open positions; collaborates with departmental managers to understand skills and competencies required for openings.
- Assist the HR Director in conducting background checks for Managers and/or Camp Counselors.
- Posting job advertisements from job boards and social media platforms (Craigslist, Company Facebook, linked In, Indeed, ADP, Workforce Solutions, etc.).
- Removing job advertisements from job board and social media once vacancies have been filled.
- Preparing and sending rejection letters or emails to non-selected job candidates.
- Collaborates with department heads to ensure that job descriptions are regularly reviewed and updated as duties change and roles evolve.
- Ensures that new and accurate job descriptions are written when new positions are created and filled.
- Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training.
- Maintain knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, talent management, employment law and technological advances in human resources.
- Performs routine task required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to recruiting, training and development, benefits and safety.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:

- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.

- Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
- Proficiency with or the ability to quickly learn the organizations HRIS and talent management systems
Preferred Education and Experience
- Associate Degree Required and/or Bachelor degree in Human Resources preferred
- Three years of related administrative experience, preferably in human resources
- Valid state driver’s license and clean MVR.
Physical Requirements:
- Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
- Must be able to lift 15 pounds at times.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
