Optex Systems, Inc. has been in business for 32+ years. We, primarily, manufacturer parts for the military and offer commercial products, as well. This is a full-time, regular position located in Richardson, Texas. We are seeking local applicants, only.
We are currently seeking a skilled Master Scheduler to join our team. The ideal candidate will have expertise in demand planning, supply chain management, MRP, forecasting, inventory control, lean manufacturing, and production planning.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain the master production schedule to meet customer demand while minimizing inventory levels
- Collaborate with various departments to ensure accurate demand forecasting
- Utilize MRP systems to plan and release production orders
- Monitor production progress and adjust schedules as needed
- Optimize inventory levels to balance supply and demand
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency
- Vaticinate future production needs based on market trends and historical data
Requirements:
- Qualified applicants will be either a U. S. Citizen or Permanent Resident
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, or related field strongly preferred.
- Proven experience in supply chain, production planning, or related role.
- Strong MRP experience, inventory control practices and strong Excel skills required.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills required.
- Ability to fabricate detailed production schedules based on demand forecasts.
- Knowledge of supply chain best practices and continuous improvement methodologies and ability to multi-task and follow-up on tasks mandatory.
