Are you looking for an opportunity to expand your experience in mental health and wellness therapy, while making a difference? Grand Canyon University is looking for a Campus Therapist to work with and support our students, faculty and staff on our ground campus.
Location: 33rd and Camelback, Main Campus, onsite position
Schedule: 8am to 5pm Mon-Friday

What you will do:
Support enrolled student’s mental health and wellness through providing individual and group therapy based on a brief, solution-focused model.
Provide assessments (along with clinical recommendations) of at-risk students within the context of the campus Behavioral Intervention Team.
Provide assessments, referrals, and consultations. Consult with and/or makes referrals to other professionals and outside agencies.
Serve as a consultant and resource person for faculty and staff regarding the mental health of individual students, faculty, and/or staff and the factors affecting the adjustment and mental health of the university community.
Maintain accurate and complete clinical documentation in compliance with legal and ethical guidelines of clinical practice.
Maintain licensure in good standing with the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AzBBHE), including participation in ongoing clinical supervision if applicable.
What you need:
Master’s degree in counseling, mental health, psychology, therapy or a related field from an accredited college or university.
Possesses current licensure (in good standing) as an LPC, LCSW, LMFT, LAC, MSW, or LAMFT from the Arizona Board of Behavioral Health Examiners (AzBBHE) is required.
Clinical experience as a generalist; able to effectively treat many different mental health diagnoses required.
Demonstrated experience working with young adults in a highly relational setting is preferred.
Demonstrated experience working effectively with a wide range of people, including persons from diverse backgrounds is preferred.
Demonstrated experience in a college or university counseling center is preferred.
Provide a positive example to students by supporting the University’s Doctrinal Statement, Ethical Position Statement and Mission of Grand Canyon University.
