Scheduling: Planning and scheduling regular maintenance tasks, inspections, and repairs to minimize downtime and ensure compliance with regulations.
Budgeting: Managing the maintenance budget, tracking expenses, and optimizing costs while maintaining the fleet's safety and performance standards.
Parts Inventory: Managing inventory of spare parts, tools, and supplies needed for maintenance and repairs to ensure efficient operations.
Compliance: Ensuring that all vehicles meet regulatory requirements and safety standards through regular inspections and maintenance practices.
Team Supervision: Leading a team of mechanics and technicians, providing training, guidance, and support to maintain a high level of performance.
Record Keeping: Maintaining accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and vehicle histories for compliance and future reference.
Emergency Response: Developing protocols for handling breakdowns, accidents, and emergency situations to minimize disruptions and ensure safety.
Vendor Management: Liaising with external vendors, suppliers, and service providers to secure quality parts and services at competitive rates.
Technology Integration: Implementing fleet management software and tools to track maintenance schedules, monitor vehicle performance, and optimize fleet operations .
Salary depends on the skill, experience and amount of tasks done.
