Seeking a Psychiatrist to collaborate with a low-volume Nurse Practitioner who is comfortable with prescribing stimulants. Must be available to meet the state supervisory regulations and intermittently available for clinical consultations and review 10% of charts including patients prescribed stimulants. Prefer past experience with performing duties as a collaborator with the desire to teach and share knowledge. This is a tele health position.
Responsibilities:
- Provide comprehensive medical care to patients, including diagnosis, treatment, and follow-up care
- Be available for urgent consultations and sign off 10% of charts which would include stimulant patients
- Utilize medical coding systems such as ICD-10 to accurately document patient diagnoses and treatments
- Utilize electronic health record systems to manage patient information and medical records
- Collaborate with other healthcare professionals to develop and implement treatment plans
- Conduct behavioral health assessments and provide appropriate interventions
- Stay up-to-date with the latest medical research and advancements in the field
Qualifications:
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Board certification in a relevant specialty
- Valid medical license to practice Psychiatry in Texas
- Proficiency in using electronic health record systems and medical coding systems
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work well within a multidisciplinary team
- Comfortable prescribing stimulants
There is no patients admitted as this is a start up so current work will be minimal
