Starting Salary is $19.00 per hour.

General Description: This is an administrative position. The position will order, maintain, and replace the inventory, and issue equipment and uniforms, for the Louisa County Sheriff's Office.
Essential Functions:

Purchases, and maintains inventory, and issues/receives supplies, equipment, and uniforms for the Sheriff's Office.

Maintains records, logs, and documentation of purchases, costs, deliveries, and current inventory of equipment and supplies.
-
Maintains records, logs, and a database of equipment, supplies, uniforms, and related items issued to individual LCSO personnel.
-
Maintains database of Department body armor and schedules replacement within expiration dates.
-
Maintains strict confidentiality of information, records, and personnel data.
-
Performs other duties and responsibilities as may be assigned.
Job Requirements:

Methods, procedures, and objectives of inventory control, including but not limited to, price research, ordering, receiving, and disbursing.

County bidding and contract award policies and procedures.

Basic and specialized equipment, supplies, uniforms, and related items utilized by Deputies.

Record keeping and database methods and objectives.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

Purchase, maintain the inventory, and issue or return of supplies, equipment, and uniforms for the Sheriff's Office.

Maintain records, logs, and computerized files and database.
-
Coordinate with Finance Department request and reporting procedures for grant funding for body armor replacement.
-
Maintain strict confidentiality of personal information and records.
-
Operate office equipment including a PC/personal computer.
-
Ability to design and update forms, reports, etc. using Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and other software.

Perform multiple tasks simultaneously, including handling interruptions, and return to and complete tasks promptly.

Maintain a professional demeanor at all times.

Communicate effectively at a level necessary for efficient job performance.

Complete assignments in a timely fashion.

Understand and comply with all Federal, State, County, and LCSO rules, policies, and regulations.

Perform all duties by LCSO policies and procedures regarding personal safety and that of other employees and the public.
Education, Experience, and Training:

High School Diploma or equivalent required.

At least 18 years of age.
