Responsibilities:
- Drives clients between medical appointments & home
- Loads Wheelchairs and properly ties them down to the ratcheting system
- Communicate effectively with patients, their families, and dispatchers
- Safely operate NEMT (Non Emergency Medical Transportation) Vehicle
- Maintain accurate and detailed paperwork
- Assist client in and out of vehicle/ facilities
- Maintain all credentialing required by the corresponding agency (The company covers the cost of credentialing)
Requirements:
-Must be 25 or older
-Must pass a background check
-Must pass physical and drug screen
-Must be flexible with scheduled hours
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Ability to remain calm and focused in high-pressure situations
- Valid driver's license with a clean driving record
- Experience in paratransit, school bus driving, or commercial driving is a plus
- Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks
