We are in search of a committed Dental Receptionist - Insurance Coordinator to join our team. Compensation:
$20 - $22 per hour DOE
Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day office operations efficiently
- Ensure the dental front desk area is always clean and welcoming
- Coordinate with vendors and suppliers, and order necessary office and treatment supplies
- Provide a warm greeting to patients, assist with form filling, and inform them about office policies and care procedures
- Handle patient appointments by scheduling, canceling, rescheduling, and making reminder calls
- Calculate fees, manage financial agreements, and process payments, including cash and credit card transactions
- Submit insurance claims, identify billing codes, and follow up with insurance companies
- Organize patient charts and create daily schedules for the dental team
- Update patient records with X-rays, treatment plans, and financial/insurance details
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, mailing, and creating patient files as required
Qualifications:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is required, and having some college education or an AADOM-recognized designation would be beneficial.
- Preferably, the candidate should have 2 years of experience in dental office management, either as a dental receptionist, front desk manager, or in a similar role at a medical office.
- Proficiency in MS Office and Dental Practice Management software like Dentrix is essential.
- Knowledge of dental front office procedures, human resources, OSHA regulations, dental coding and terminology, as well as best practices in treatment coordination, scheduling, and dental charting is necessary.
- Excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, organizational skills, and exceptional customer service skills are required.
