Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Department: Maintenance
Reports To: Maintenance Supervisor
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITY:
Performs maintenance assignments involving the routine preventive maintenance, repair, installation and set-up of manufacturing/packaging equipment. Duties aligned with operations to maintain equipment and support systems in validated and compliant state. Comply with all regulatory/cGMP guidelines and Legacy Pharmaceutical Packaging standards and policies.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

Performs changeovers (set-ups) fine tunes and assist in line start-ups. Leads and mentors production crews to achieve optimum performance.
- Constantly looking for ways to improve and focus on achieving production goals.

Makes running adjustments and repairs as necessary to keep lines running smoothly.

Performs preventative maintenance, planned repairs and assigned projects.

Responsible for start-up and shut down of equipment and facilities according to schedules.

Assist engineering installations, modifications, upgrades, validations, etc.

Performs other duties as required by business needs.
- Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
-
High school diploma or GED is required. Technical or Trade school is a plus.

Experience maintaining, repairing industrial packaging equipment, especially blistering, tablet filling, labelers, vision systems is preferred.

Knowledge of electrical systems, PLC’s, servo motors is a plus.

Meticulous attention to detail and exceptional mechanical aptitude is a must.

Machinist skills are a plus.

Must have the ability to work independently in an ever changing intense environment and strive for success.
ADDITIONAL COMMENTS

Experience in a cGMP environment preferred.
