The Salvation Army Midland Divisional Headquarters located in St. Louis, MO is looking for an Administrative Assistant. This position is responsible for all administrative duties in connection with business directly related to the Divisional Executive Director of Business, to include Finance, Auditing, IT, Property, & Campus Maintenance in administrative coordination. Handle confidential correspondence and exercise a high degree of discretion and initiative. Must work independently, use judgement and make decisions on behalf of the EDBD in accordance with TSA Minutes and Policies. Must maintain and exhibit a willingness to assist carrying out The Salvation Army mission. Position is expected to comply with and meet The Salvation Army, Federal, State and Local policies, and standards.
This is a full-time position with starting pay of $25.00 per hour.

Essential Functions
- Prepare and coordinate Divisional Finance Board agenda, minutes, and maintain files of the same.
- Administrate and maintain documentation for signature and distribution.
- Provide assistance to Property Construction Manager to include processing necessary paperwork to secure funding when documentation has been submitted and approved for payment. Assist tracking inflow and outflow of all vendor payments and mail checks to vendors after properly recording using tracking sheet.
- Arrange and prepare for monthly Finance Committee and Property Advisory Board Committee meetings which includes notification to members, preparing agenda, and recording of meeting minutes.
- Strong professional verbal and written communication skills are essential when interacting with various vendors, corps officers, service units, and territorial headquarters.
- Must possess strong time management skills to work on multiply projects at various stages of completion.
- Provide support to DFB members as it relates to the coordination of Agenda Items.
- Ability to work as a team player, as well as, independently in a fast-paced environment.

Education and Experience
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent and five years of administrative experience.
- Combination of education and experience will be considered.
- Comprehensive understanding of general office and communication procedures.
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite with proficiency in Excel & Word, navigating databases, and office equipment.
- Organized and accurate in keeping records (manually and electronically).
- Must demonstrate ability to think independently and exercise sound judgment and relate to a diverse population in a courteous, firm, and professional manner.
- Self-starter with good interpersonal skills.
- Must have a valid drivers' license and pass TSA MVR check.
