JOB SUMMARY:
Busy multispecialty women's health practice seeking to add to its existing team of wonderful physical therapists. We specialize in pelvic floor physical therapy and work closely with our physician partners.
All the duties of a Physical Therapist in the treatment of dysfunction caused by disease, disability or injury. Treatment includes application of modalities, manual techniques, mobilization, exercise and education. Each physical therapist is expected to perform their work independently, following established procedure, reporting periodically to the director.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Evaluate patients using the skills of a physical therapist including taking a medical history, objective testing and observation. Assess each patient’s status and determine appropriate goals and treatment. Treating patients using the physical therapy treatment techniques including patient education, therapeutic exercise, modality application, manual techniques, mobilization, functional training including special programs and aftercare recommendations. Completing all required charting including evaluations, progress notes, re-evaluations and discharge summaries in accordance with established policies. Perform in-services. Maintain good communication with fellow staff members. Maintain good communication with physicians and insurance companies when necessary. Participate in patient scheduling. Complete all required records. Maintain equipment in good repair. Participate in meetings. Other related duties as requested and required
JOB SPECIFICATIONS: Education/Licensure:
- DPT/PT
- NYS Physical Therapy license
- 12 CEUs per year in approved courses
- Three years previous experience desired
- All appropriate skills of a physical therapist.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $75,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
