Position summary:
Immediately hiring Long Term Care Medicaid Pending Specialist to join an established team of exceptional and dedicated professionals at our Central Billing Office (CBO).
Job Overview:
The Medicaid Pending Specialist is a key and visible team member working on special projects to assist the Business Office team with processing potential Medicaid patients for previous, current and future Medicaid eligible recipients. In the most expedient manor possible to ensure compliance and efficiency on outstanding balances over (90) days. Position identifies best practices and implements processes that continually improve systems to achieve superior outcomes, with a goal to reduce Medicaid Pending’s outstanding days and reduce loss revenue. The position will be monitored based upon the task at hand. Local and some over-night travel is required.

- Must be knowledgeable of HIPAA compliance and requirements.
- Keep up to date on technology trends, developments and best practices.
Qualifications:
- High School diploma or general education degree.
- Must possess good communication and people skills.
- Must have two years of work experience in Long Term Care.
- Exceptional problem-solving abilities and attention to detail particularly as it relates to Medicaid.
- Must be knowledgeable of all Medicaid legal regulations, guidelines and best practices.
- Knowledge of Texas Medicaid, PCC and/or other Healthcare software packages are a plus.
- Must understand the basics of working in the business office and importance of following established processes.
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite.
- Must be efficient, maintain confidentiality, exhibit good judgment, and have the ability to speak and write effectively.
- Must be able to travel to multiple facilities, this position requires travel.
