Our company is a privately held family business supplying fixtures for the retail industry. The company has provided stable employment opportunities during its nearly 75 year history. This position is available because of significant growth and will support some of our largest opportunities.
The Supply Chain Specialist will work primarily to keep the company's inventory levels high enough to satisfy all outbound orders on time and in full. The candidate will work closely with vendors, the Operations team, Customer Service, and Management to insure the inventory pipeline flows to satisfy outbound orders.
The candidate will have responsibility for the following:
- Place Purchase Orders
- Receive Purchase Orders
- Complete landed costs transactions
- Track inbound containers
- Review inventory reports and fulfill item shortages
- Send RFQ's to vendors and prepare quotes for Sales
- Follow up on Purchase Orders nearing completion
- Update delivery dates in ERP
- Plan container delivery to appropriate warehouse
- Coordinate container delivery
- Plan inventory transfers prior to outbound order dates
- Monitor warehouse capacity and transfer inventory as required
- Plan and print Sales Order pick tickets
- Expedite fulfillment of rush sales orders
- Other tasks as assigned
Education, Qualifications and Work Experience Requirements
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in supply chain
- Undergraduate degree (B.S. or B.A.)
- Strong data analytics and ability to create strategies and actions from analysis conducted
- Ability to effectively communicate verbally and in written form to various levels of management, colleagues and suppliers
- Proficient in MS Office Suite
