What You’ll Do
This is a job that performs complex (journey-level) consultative services and technical assistance work. Work involves auditing and production accounting work for the Texas Moving Image Industry Incentive Program (TMIIIP). Interprets relevant statutes, policies and rules; prepares applicants for review; and examines applicants’ paperwork and documentation for thoroughness.
- Provides information to film/television, commercial, video game and animation industry representatives about TMIIIP.
- Tracks incentive applications and relevant paperwork; advises applicants on necessary changes to applications.
- Provides support and answers constituent queries on sales tax exemptions for film, commercial, video game and animation productions.
- Prepares and reviews all incoming TMIIIP submissions for the initial audit review and the Office of Compliance review in accordance with established goals and within identified timelines.
- Answers phone and email requests for general TMIIIP information.
- Examines production company applications for TMIIIP grants for missing information and documentation.
- Provides support for legislative goals and monitors ongoing compliance with state law and administrative code.
- Monitors inquiries regarding TMIIIP fund availability.
- Assists in processing incentives contracts, vendor paperwork, purchase requisitions, and payment requests for incentive applications.
- Assists in the development of procedures for the submission of grant applications and the awarding of grants.
- Assists in interpreting and/or developing policies, rules, or regulations for the development of divisional goals and timelines.
- Advises production companies on the rules, regulations and policies of the TMIIIP.
- Represents the TFC and TMIIIP team at trade shows, conferences, and industry events.
How You’ll Qualify
Three (3) years of experience working in a field relevant to the film, television, or digital media industries.
Note: Experience and education may be substituted for one another on a year-for-year basis.
You’re a Great Fit with
- Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with a degree in business administration, finance, accounting, economic development, economics, political science, or public administration; and
- Experience in film, television, or digital media production or production accounting.
