This job requires military service in the Air Force Reserve.
The technological and electrical know-how of wiring our equipment is paramount to every mission. As an Aircraft Electrical and Environmental Systems specialist, you’ll work on the wiring and electrical components of our airpower. From engine control to pressurizing cabins, you ensure the safety of our Airmen and the efficient completion of our objectives.
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform cryogenic maintenance on mobile aircraft-servicing units.
- Ensure compliance with technical directives and publications.
- Inspect, maintain and troubleshoot electrical and environmental (E&E) systems.
- Repair and replace defective parts.

- Non-Prior Service enlistment bonus up to $15,000 with a six-year contract and paid incrementally over six years (dependent on member meeting all eligibility requirements based on IAW Air Force policy and law)
- Prior Service bonus up $15,000 for six-year enlistment paid over six years or $7,500 for a three-year contract paid over three years (dependent on member meeting all eligibility requirements based on IAW Air Force policy and law)
- Reenlistment bonus up to $7,500 with a three-year contract paid upfront/lump sum (dependent on member meeting all eligibility requirements based on IAW Air Force policy and law)
Qualifications
Select full-time opportunities may be available for fully-qualified candidates seeking to affiliate from the active duty Air Force. Full-time opportunities for this role vary by location. To be considered, you must meet the following requirements:
- Must have a high school diploma, GED or GED with 15 college credits
- Mechanical; Electronic ASVAB requirement
- Knowledge of electrical, electronic and mechanical principles relating to E&E systems
- Experience maintaining electrical, electronic and environmental systems
- Normal color vision
- Completion of 7.5 weeks of Basic Military Training
- Must be between the ages of 17 and 39
