CMG LOAN SCENARIO UW POSITION OVERVIEW: Sr. FHA/VA SAR/ CONV Loan Scenario Underwriter with over 5 years of underwriting (Manual- AUS) experience with all active underwriting delegations. Responsible for researching and interpreting Credit Policy Risk & Loan Structuring with excellent verbal and written communication skills.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES, includes the following responsibilities, but not limited to:

Underwriting review of conventional, jumbo, non-conforming and other manual underwrite loan products.

Communicates regularly with Business Partners and Loan Processors regarding status of loans via current technology.

Independently research credit policy and communicate (written and verbally) a clear and precise credit policy interpretation.

Follows file and check order as conditions are signed off and new information is received.
- Maintains file order integrity.

Maintains current working knowledge on current products.

Leadership with respect to direction of underwriting resources and credit policy execution within team.

Maintains conversation log in Byte to properly track the forward movement of the file.

Assists with training needs of other mortgage positions.

Ad hoc reporting.

Other duties as assigned.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

Must have minimum of 5+ years of specific underwriting experience.

Must have demonstrated satisfactory knowledge of DU and LP input.

Must have DE/Sar/Lapp designations for FHA/VA Loans.

Ability to properly interpret DU and LP, communicate and document their findings.

Intermediate experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and email systems.

Ability to work in a fast paced, fluid environment.

Strong communication, interpersonal and organizational skills.

Proven leadership skills.

High integrity and confidentiality required.

Direct Reports: NA
PHYSICAL and ENVIRONMENTAL CONDITIONS:
Standard office environment, equipment and tasks, including work at a computer terminal. This position requires partial sitting and moving throughout the day. Employee must be open to work overtime to complete assigned tasks.
CMG pays a competitive base which ranges from $85,000 - $105,000. Factors that affect base salary may include: Underwriter experience and designations, overall knowledge, number of years worked in mortgage industry, types of roles performed, computer skills, experience specific to working with mortgage lenders, and education.
