This client facing leadership role is in our custom fine woodworking shop and involves talking with customers, working with production technology interfaces, and effectively communicating with our in-house craftspeople. This position is high craft oriented and requires an extraordinary level of passion for fine woodworking.
Required Experience:
- 5+ years’ experience in project management or design preferably with high-end woodworking.
- Hands-on woodworking experience.
- Excellent math, computer, CNC machine skills.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communications.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
Preferred Experience:
- Background working with reclaimed wood or sustainable business models.
- Background in timber framing, industrial design, or fine arts a plus.
Required Education: Bachelor’s degree

For Pay Transparence: Compensation Description (annually or hourly)
The base salary range for this position is $52k - $62k Yearly

Overview –
This client facing leadership role is in our custom fine woodworking shop and involves talking with customers, working with production technology interfaces, and effectively communicating with our in-house craftspeople. This position is high craft oriented and requires an extraordinary level of passion for fine woodworking. The Woodwooking Project Manager & Cabinet designers must be able to effectively communicate with their clients throughout the design process, and poses strong understanding of wood materials, construction techniques, and manufacturing processes to design and create functional and durable products.
Core Competencies:
- Strong creative aptitude and custom product design ability.
- Ability to understand and plan around the scope and specifications of a job.
- Create a schedule for production.
- Break the job down into work packages based on the schedule and Lean principles.
Participate actively in the engineering of complex items.
- Order job specific materials based on the production schedule.
- Creating drawings, sketches, or renderings of furniture pieces and other home furnishings that meet the client’s needs and specifications.
- Preparing computer models of furniture layouts, including doors, windows, crown molding, chair railings, baseboards, and other details.
- Consulting with clients to determine their needs and preferences in regard to style and function.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Required:
- 5+ years’ experience in project management or design.
- Hands-on woodworking experience.
- Excellent math, computer, CNC machine skills.
- Proficiency in written and verbal communications.
- Excellent time management and attention to detail.
Safety & Compliance:
Must comply with all New Energy Works safety protocols, policies, and code of conduct.
