Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Plumbing Service Technician to join our team. As a Plumbing Service Technician, you will be responsible for installing, repairing, and maintaining plumbing systems in residential and commercial buildings. Your expertise with plumbing fundamentals, best plumbing practices, and plumbing code will be essential in ensuring the proper functioning of plumbing systems.
Responsibilities
- Install and repair plumbing systems, including pipes, fixtures, and appliances
- Troubleshoot and diagnose plumbing system failures (such as leaks and stoppages).
- Perform routine maintenance on plumbing systems to prevent leaks and other issues
- Collaborate with other construction professionals to ensure plumbing systems are installed correctly
- Troubleshoot plumbing problems and provide effective solutions
- Follow safety protocols and adhere to building codes and regulations
- Maintain accurate records of work performed and materials used
Experience and Requirements:
- 2 – 4 years of prior work experience as a Plumbing Technician.
- Completion of applicable trade school (preferred, but not required).
-Journeyman or Master license/applicable plumbing certifications (preferred, but not required).
-Possess Backflow License (preferred, but not required).
-Knowledge of OSHA safety regulations and Plumbing Code standards.
- Must be able to lift and carry up to 60 lbs.
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends for on call schedule rotation.
- Basic computer skills for smart device/tablet and cell phone communication/documentation.
- Dependable, with strong work ethic.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and communicate well among all levels of employees within the company.
- Ability to work independently and without supervision.
- Positive attitude which motivates others and promotes our company values internally and externally.
- Position requires a clean driving record and acceptable background check/drug screening per company standards.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $16.00 - $35.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 – 55 per week
