As a Machinist, you will produce machined parts and components by operating computer numerical control, vertical mills, lathes, and traditional conventional machines. You will also support and promote the company's Vision, Mission, and Values, using UPSCALE as the foundation always.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
Machine parts to specifications, using lathes, milling machines, shapers, or grinders.
Operate all of the basic machine tools and many specialized or advanced variation tools to perform precision machining operations.
Measure, examine, or test completed units to check for defects and ensure conformance to specifications using micrometers.
Position and fasten workpieces.
Operate equipment to verify operational efficiency.
Clean and lubricate machines, tools, and equipment to remove grease, rust, stains, and foreign matter.
Dispose of scrap or waste material in accordance with company policies and environmental regulations.
Separate scrap waste and related materials for reuse, recycling, or disposal
QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED is required.
Advanced technical education is a plus.
1 year of experience in a manufacturing environment is preferred.
Basic ability to read and understand blueprints and other shop drawing aids.
Ability to work with various types of metal forming constraints with guidance.
Flexible and responsive with a strong teamwork orientation.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Desire to learn new skills and improve technical knowledge.
Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment to meet team expectations.
Commitment to quality and accuracy of work performed.
Demonstrated ability to effectively implement or respond to change.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

Must be able to stand up to 100% of the time.
The person in this position must occasionally move around the production floor.
Frequently lifts up to 25 lbs. and occasionally up to 50 lbs. from floor, overhead, and waist level.
This position will assist in pushing/pulling carts with over 50 lbs. of force, occasionally distances of over 30 feet.
Constantly positions self to reach for elevated work, twist, squat, kneel, and bend to reach areas on frames during welding and grinding.
Occasionally ascends/descends stairs.
Constantly handles equipment and components requiring continuous grasp and will perform frequent handling of small items and writing.
WORK ENVIRONMENT
Work may involve moderate exposure to unusual elements, such as extreme temperatures, dirt, dust, fumes, smoke, unpleasant odors, and/or loud noises.
