Job Overview:
As the Production Manager, your primary responsibility will be to plan, organize, develop, and oversee the overall operation of the Food Service Department. You will ensure compliance with Federal, State, and local standards while delivering high-quality nutritional services on a daily basis. Your role is instrumental in maintaining a clean, safe, and sanitary environment within the Food Service Department.
Responsibilities:
- Administrative Functions (35%):
- Manage administrative tasks related to food service operations.
- Budget and Planning (10%):
- Develop and oversee budgets for the Food Service Department.
- Committee Functions (10%):
- Collaborate with committees to enhance food service offerings.
- Staff Recruitment, Retention, and Development (35%):
- Recruit, train, and support staff members to ensure a cohesive team.
- Safety and Sanitation (5%):
- Uphold safety and sanitation standards within the department.
- Equipment and Supply (5%):
- Manage inventory of equipment and supplies efficiently.
High School Diploma
- Experience/Education in Food Service, Nutrition, SERV Safe Training
- Training in cost control, food management, diet therapy, etc.
- Proficiency in English language communication.
- Knowledge of dietary practices, regulations, and guidelines in long-term care facilities.
- Proficient in planning, organizing, implementing programs, policies, and procedures within the Food Service Department.
- Demonstrated ability to maintain cleanliness, orderliness, safety standards, and performance evaluations within food service areas.
- Patient, tactful demeanor with enthusiasm for working with residents at different maturity levels.
- Willingness to explore innovative methods for enhancing dietary practices.
