Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Technical Project Manager to join our team and lead various data projects within the IRS and Federal sectors. As a Technical Project Manager for IRS and Federal Data Projects, you will play a crucial role in planning, executing, and closing out data-centric initiatives while also overseeing the development and critique of lessons, layouts, and major projects. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project management, information technology, and IT programming, with knowledge of 508 guidance and layouts to start with.
Responsibilities:
1. Project Planning and Execution:
- Develop and execute project plans, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and objectives within the IRS and Federal domains.
- Utilize Agile methodologies to manage and deliver data projects efficiently, while also overseeing the creation and critique of lessons, layouts, and major projects.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and deliverables tailored to IRS and Federal requirements.
2. Compliance and Standards:
- Demonstrate a profound understanding of relevant compliance standards specific to IRS and Federal data projects, including but not limited to HIPAA, HITECH, and Section 508.
- Implement and enforce data governance policies to ensure compliance with IRS and Federal regulatory requirements, while also providing guidance on 508 compliance for lessons and layouts.
3. Tool Proficiency:
- Utilize project management and Agile tools such as Microsoft Project, Jira, and Confluence to facilitate project planning, tracking, and reporting, adhering to IRS and Federal guidelines.
- Ensure team members are proficient in these tools and provide necessary training when needed to meet IRS and Federal standards, while also overseeing the development of layouts and projects using IT programming expertise.
4. Stakeholder Management:
- Effectively manage relationships with multiple stakeholders within the IRS and Federal sectors, including business analysts, data engineers, and other relevant teams.
- Communicate project status, risks, and issues to IRS and Federal stakeholders in a clear and concise manner, ensuring alignment with IRS and Federal priorities, while also overseeing the critique of lessons and layouts.
5. Communication and Leadership:
- Demonstrate exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal, to convey complex technical concepts to diverse IRS and Federal audiences, while also providing leadership and guidance on the creation of major projects and layouts.
- Foster a collaborative and high-performing work environment, providing feedback and guidance on lessons, layouts, and major projects to ensure quality and compliance with IRS and Federal standards.
6. Problem-solving:
- Identify and resolve project issues and risks promptly, making informed decisions to keep the project on track while adhering to IRS and Federal guidelines.
- Proactively anticipate potential roadblocks specific to IRS and Federal projects and implement mitigation strategies accordingly, while also providing guidance on IT programming for layouts and projects.
7. Fast-paced Environment:
- Thrive in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment within the IRS and Federal sectors, ensuring that project milestones are achieved on time and within budget while meeting IRS and Federal standards.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Project Management, Information Technology, or a related field.
- PMP and Scrum Master certifications are advantageous, especially within the IRS and Federal contexts.
- Proven track record in managing diverse data projects with multiple stakeholders within the IRS and Federal sectors, using Agile methodologies, and with expertise in IT programming.
- Profound understanding of relevant compliance standards specific to IRS and Federal data projects, such as HIPAA, HITECH, and Section 508, with knowledge of how to apply them to lessons, layouts, and major projects.
- Proficiency in project management and Agile tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Jira, Confluence) aligned with IRS and Federal requirements, along with expertise in IT programming for layouts and projects.
- Exceptional communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills tailored to IRS and Federal environments, with a focus on critiquing lessons, layouts, and major projects.
