POSITION SUMMARY
The Assistant Chief Diversity Officer for Community Training, Education, and Belonging will primarily implement intercultural programming and provide educational training to the campus community. The focus will be on improving the lived experiences of community members with underrepresented and marginalized identities.
Key Responsibilities
- Training and Program Coordination: Design, plan, and coordinate training for retreats, educational programs, and initiatives to develop diversity awareness and intergroup communication and engagement.
- Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion Workshops: Conduct comprehensive DEI trainings/workshops to enhance understanding and commitment to DEI principles, strengthening the campus community’s ability to become inclusive leaders.
- Community Engagement: Create opportunities for students, staff, faculty, and administrators to engage across differences. Serve on relevant college committees, including the Committee on Diversity and Inclusion.
- Social Media Development: Develop and manage ODEI social media pages to promote DEI initiatives and activities.
