Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Activities Director to join our team at an assisted living facility. The ideal candidate will be responsible for planning and implementing engaging activities for our residents, promoting social interaction, and enhancing their quality of life.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and coordinate a diverse calendar of activities suitable for residents with varying needs and interests
- Organize recreational programs, outings, and events to stimulate physical, mental, and emotional well-being
- Collaborate with staff to integrate activities that support residents' care plans and individual preferences
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, and staff to ensure engagement and participation
- Oversee the management of activity supplies, equipment, and resources
- Maintain accurate records of resident participation and feedback for continuous improvement
Requirements:
- Experience in assisted living or care setting preferred
- Background in recreational therapy, social work, or event planning is advantageous
- Knowledge of memory care principles and techniques
- Strong communication skills to interact with residents, families, and colleagues effectively
- Familiarity with caregiving practices including Activities of Daily Living (ADLs)
- Ability to manage schedules efficiently and adapt to changing needs

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $20.08 - $21.00 per hour
