The Overview
As the Partnerships, Director of Hotels & Resorts, you will oversee our lodging supplier relations and responsible for creating and implementing strategic initiatives to add value to our travel advisor community. Leveraging your industry expertise and strong supplier relationships, you will ensure F1S delivers exceptional experiences and service for our travel advisors and their client
Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Oversee hotel supplier relationships, including negotiating terms, and resolving escalated issues for quick resolution.
- Advocate for F1S advisors, ensuring they have the knowledge and resources to navigate hotel industry complexities, maximize revenue and provide conflict resolution escalation.
- Negotiate win-win deals with hotel partners, fostering long-term relationships built on mutual benefit.
- Collaborate with marketing to create engaging campaigns that showcase F1S's partnerships and drive advisor engagement.
- Stay ahead of travel trends, optimize partnerships and ensure F1S remains a leader in the luxury travel space.
- Create and execute a strategic plan with F1S Preferred Hotels & Resorts and Virtuoso partners.
- Create a comprehensive training program for travel advisors, including webinars, FAMS, trainings, and onboarding.
- Collaborate with internal teams, including regional leaders, sales, operations, marketing, IT, and finance.
- Conduct regular performance reviews with key hotel partners, analyzing key metrics and making recommendations for improvement.
- Act as a sounding board for advisors on product referrals and opportunities of revenue maximization in the hotel space.
- Collaborate with Regional Leaders to identify growth opportunities for advisors and share performance reviews and metrics to ensure F1S meets and exceeds partnership revenue targets.
- Leverage existing relationships with key supplier partners to enhance program offerings and improve client satisfaction.
- · Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and trade shows to promote F1S, build relationships with key stakeholders and advocate for our travel advisors.
Skills, Knowledge, and Experience Required
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Hospitality Management, or related field.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in the travel industry, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Excellent Microsoft office product skills.
- Proven track record of creating and managing successful programs in the travel industry.
- Strong negotiation skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Exceptional organizational and time management skills, with the ability to work well under pressure.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.
- Deep knowledge and understanding of premium and luxury hotels, destinations and experiences globally.
- Willingness to roll up sleeves and get the job done for the greater good of F1S and its advisors.
- Existing relationships with key supplier partners in the lodging industry is critical.
- Position based preferably in NYC but will consider other cities within the USA or Canada.
