Title: Machinist

As we continue to expand, we are seeking a skilled and motivated Machinist to join our talented team.
Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain manual and CNC machining equipment, mostly Electrical discharge machining (EDM), to produce high-precision parts.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications to ensure accurate and efficient production.
- Collaborate with the engineering team to optimize designs for manufacturability.
- Machine various materials, mostly metals and alloys, including but not limited to Nd-Fe-B, Alnico, Sm-Co, ferrite magnets, and steels, to tight tolerances.
- Conduct basic quality control inspections to ensure that finished products meet the highest standards.
- Troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on machines to ensure optimal performance.
- Collaborate with colleagues in a small team environment to achieve project goals and deadlines.
- Adhere to safety guidelines and maintain a clean and organized work environment.
Qualifications:
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work on time.
- Excellent coordination skills and manual dexterity to assemble and deburr small magnets.
- Willingness to learn new equipment and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to challenges.
- Capability to work both independently and collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Proficiency in the operation of manual and CNC-EDM machines and other machining equipment, preferably in a prototype precision machining environment, is a plus.
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software is advantageous.
Education and Experience:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Vocational training or certification in machining preferred.
- 1-year experience as an operator or programmer of manual machines, CNC machines, lathe, mill, or EDM.
