An Inventory Control Specialist plays a critical role in managing and maintaining accurate inventory levels within a company. They are responsible for overseeing the entire inventory process, from conducting daily cycle counts to reconciling parts and materials. This role requires meticulous attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
Responsibilities:

Conduct daily cycle counts to ensure accurate inventory levels.

Perform parts and material reconciliation to identify discrepancies and resolve issues promptly.

Maintain accurate inventory records using inventory management software.

Coordinate with various departments to optimize inventory levels and replenishment processes.

Monitor inventory movement and identify areas for process improvement.

Ensure compliance with inventory control procedures and policies.

Prepare reports detailing inventory status, variances, and trends.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement inventory-related initiatives.

Participate in inventory audits and assist with resolution of audit findings.

Bachelor’s degree in business administration, logistics, or a related field preferred.

Proven experience in inventory control or related field.

Strong attention to detail and accuracy.

Excellent organizational and time management skills.

Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office suite.

Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.

Effective communication skills, both verbal and written.

Willingness to travel from building to building within a 5-mile radius.
Preferred Qualifications:

Certification in inventory management (e.g., CPIM, CSCP) is a plus.

Experience working in a manufacturing or distribution environment.

Knowledge of lean principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
