Title: Facilities Maintenance Supervisor
Type: Full-Time; Direct Hire
Location: Phoenix, AZ
Pay Range: 80 – 90k
In this role, you will be accountable for managing the maintenance department and ensuring compliance with all policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the safe, timely, and efficient operation of plant machinery, manufacturing equipment, facilities, and associated infrastructure.
- Oversee continuous improvement efforts to enhance maintenance capabilities, identifying opportunities for process improvements, and making efficiency recommendations.
- Manage all Maintenance, Repair, and Operations (MRO) activities and initiatives.
- Provide leadership as a working supervisor, directly supervising department staff and coordinating with outside contractors.
- Maintain proper documentation of processes and ensure compliance with safety and environmental regulations.
- Collaborate with internal and external partners to implement company-wide and plant-specific initiatives, offering innovative cost-reduction solutions.
- Schedule and execute Preventive Maintenance on time, and develop predictive reliability programs.
- Support and execute continuous improvement on 5S standards, striving to eliminate downtime and improve efficiency.
- Develop and apply preventive and corrective measures, and identify potential areas for improvement to minimize emergency or repetitive breakdowns.
- Set maintenance goals, work with the team to achieve objectives, and continuously improve maintenance processes and personnel performance.
- Manage multiple tool rooms, machine shops, and fabrication shops.
- Prepare and manage the maintenance budget, ensuring cost-effective solutions.
Qualifications:
- 3-7 years of experience in Mechanical Maintenance in a manufacturing environment, with proven managerial skills.
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant supervisory experience involving various skilled trades disciplines.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills; Lean / Six Sigma certification preferred.
- Proficiency with Excel, Access, Word, and PowerPoint programs; AutoCAD experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with superiors, peers, and subordinates both verbally and in writing.
