Job Summary
The Market Manager is responsible for increasing sales in the assigned region, creating lasting and mutually beneficial partnerships with accounts/distributors, and maintaining the integrity and value of Sonoma Craft brands. This includes direct account responsibility for key on and off-premises accounts, securing new business in existing and new accounts focusing on chains.
Job Responsibilities
Activities of this position are to include but are not restricted to:
- Ensure each distributor that you work with is 100% compliant with the ABP and Contract
- Distributor management to include achieving annual business goals regarding:
- Distribution & Case Volume goals
- Creating and managing annual co-op budgets
- Manage Inventory with distributor including ordering and forecasting.
- Aggressively pursue new on/off-premises distribution in chain accounts in assigned market & call on all chains that you are responsible for-Track and update progress weekly.
- Call on key on-premises accounts with the distributor to secure new distribution (including high-exposure local venues), making timely presentations and introducing our products on draft as well as package.
- Prepare for and execute monthly business meetings with key distributor staff, building detailed business reviews using data from VIP and performance against ABP plans.

- Present consistently in GSM meetings to distributor sales team.
- Develop and maintain strong, positive relationships with key accounts and distributor sales personnel.
- Organize, lead, and assist distributor in executing chain programs and distribution drives.
- Ensure that each distributor merchandising team understands and regularly executes our brand standards.
- Ensure distributors are ordering and utilizing POS and merchandise.
- Train accounts as well as distributors on our products and provide retail educational and training at the account level.
- Travel to company sales meetings; participate in market blitzes in other territories, and otherwise work with other members of the team to execute/achieve the sales plan.
- Complete necessary reporting and communications on a timely basis daily and weekly.
- Demonstrate strong financial acumen by managing assigned distributor co-op budgets.
- Excite each potential consumer that you interact with to create brand recommenders.
- Share wins company wide.

Skills & Qualifications
- 3+ years prior sales experience as Market Manager, Territory Manager or Distributor Manager (must have distributor management experience)
- Must have inventory management experience.
- Must have experience building and managing a distributor annual business plan.
- Strong presentation skill and experience working with PowerPoint.
- Excellent time management skills
- Strong VIP Database skills
- Ability to plan and manage multiple responsibilities effectively.
- Knowledge of competitive market environment
- Proficiency with personal computers/laptops and associated programs
- Highly organized and able to establish clear priorities.
