Job Summary:
Strategic Technology Institute, Inc. (STi) is seeking an experienced Training Specialist to join our team for of a contract we expect to acquire in support of the Pearl Harbor Naval Shipyard & Intermediate Maintenance Facility (PHNSY&IMF) as it establishes a detachment in Guam (NAVSHIPYD & IMF DET GUAM). The ideal candidate would have experience leading and enhancing training programs for shipboard systems critical to fleet readiness. This professional would also offer project planning/management/testing, estimating, and specification writing, and training support for the following U.S. Navy ship systems: mechanical, structural, electrical, and combat systems.
Responsibilities:
*Training Program Development and Execution:
- Coordinate the identification, development, execution, and evaluation of educational materials and qualification programs.
- Tailor training initiatives to meet the needs of both current and future naval operations, ensuring all training is up-to-date and comprehensive.
- Conduct refresher training sessions to maintain and enhance the proficiency of Guam Detachment personnel.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Secret Security Clearance
- 10+ years of experience in in training or teaching with a focus on U.S. Navy shipboard systems.
- Recent experience in project planning/management/testing, estimating, and specification writing for naval ship systems including mechanical, structural, electrical, and Combat systems with compliance to SUBSAFE, DSS-SOC, FBW SCS, and/or Level 1 requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to perform and assist in structural inspections both shipboard and in-shop.
Preferred Skills:
- Proven track record of developing and managing effective training programs in a military or defense environment.
- Strong leadership and organizational skills.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, capable of effectively training and mentoring diverse teams.

Pay: $43.26 - $67.67 per hour
