Job Description – Batching Technician
Location: Bridgeton, NJ
Shift: 1:30PM - FINISH
Pay Rate: $17.00/hr.
Reports to: Production Supervisor
Job Summary:
Oversees batch-mixing process of blending raw ingredients to produce plant-based milk products.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Operate and understand the blending when processing a batch
-
Accurately document information on blending paperwork
-
Perform analytical tests
-
Operate forklift when needed following all safety protocols and GMP
-
Responsible for disposition of unused raw ingredients, including proper labeling for storage
-
Effectively maintain product storage and rotation
-
Responsible for complex cleaning activities in manufacturing including sanitation in-line and off-line processes
-
Clean various items throughout the facility including but not limited to weighing containers, scoops, totes, floors and mixing equipment
-
Attend and participate in daily shift meetings
-
Uphold visual management of the work area
-
Follows and supports continuous improvement methodologies
-
Strict adherence to all safety, health, and environmental policies
-
Strict adherence to all GMP and food safety policies
-
Perform necessary preventive maintenance on equipment as needed
-
Report all equipment malfunctions and abnormalities for follow-up and repairs
-
Create and follow-up on work orders for area as needed
-
Completes all required training on time
-
Other duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
-
High School Diploma or equivalent
-
Minimum of 6 - 12 months batching experience in food or beverage manufacturing within the last 2 years
-
Ability to perform mathematical calculations related to weights, measures and record keeping

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions
-
Ability to read, speak, and write in English
-
Required to regularly lift up to 50lbs
-
Flexibility to work overtime and additional shifts based on business needs
