The Inventory Assistant will play a crucial role in managing and maintaining our inventory system. This position requires a keen eye for detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. The successful candidate will assist in tracking and managing inventory levels, ensuring accuracy, and supporting the overall inventory management process.
Key Responsibilities:
- Monitor and maintain current inventory levels, ensuring that stock levels are adequate to meet customer demands.
- Perform regular inventory audits and reconciliations to ensure accuracy.
- Assist in receiving, unpacking, and organizing incoming inventory.
- Track and report inventory status, discrepancies, and other related issues.
- Assist with the implementation of inventory control procedures and best practices.
- Coordinate with various departments to forecast inventory needs and manage supply levels.
- Operate inventory management software and update records accordingly.
- Ensure proper labeling and storage of inventory items.
- Assist with periodic physical inventory counts.
- Support other team members with inventory-related tasks as needed.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in inventory management or a related field is a plus.
- Previous experience in inventory control, warehouse operations, or a similar role.
- Proficiency in inventory management software and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to lift and move heavy items as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $22.10 - $24.15 per hour
